The company , a global leader in custom packaging solutions, is establishing a new manufacturing plant in El Salvador. Looking for an HR generalist

Position focus:

Lead the Human Resources department, ensure the management of employment contracts for new hires, promote good leadership practices within the organization, develop and implement HR policies, and ensure that all human resources practices comply with current labor laws and internal company regulations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the recruitment and selection of personnel
  • Supervise induction processes, operational training, and performance monitoring.
  • Payroll management: Manage payroll incidents (attendance, vacations, disabilities, etc.) and ensure the correct administration of benefits. Monitor attendance, incidents, and ensure compliance with internal regulations. Ensure the preparation and payment of the employee payroll in cooperation with the accountant.
  • Perform compensation and benefits analysis to ensure they are competitive and equitable.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as improvements in the area.
  • Channel and address labor disputes, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate performance evaluations and development plans for operational and administrative staff.
  • Develop and maintain reports and metrics on key human talent metrics.
  • Handle the company's hiring, resignation, and termination processes.
  • Develop human talent retention strategies and financial projections related to human resources.
  • Optimize and standardize human resources processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency in the application of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all human resources practices comply with current labor laws and internal company regulations.
  • Analyze relevant processes and data to identify areas for improvement, propose innovative solutions, and actively participate in strategic decision-making.

Requisitos

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Administration, Labor Relations, or related fields.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as an HR coordinator, HR generalist, or similar.
  • Experience in managing operational and administrative staff.
  • Practical knowledge of contracts, payroll, and managing new hires and terminations.
  • Advanced intermediate Excel skills.
  • Intermediate or advanced English skills (ability to understand and communicate correctly).
  • Numerical skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of labor legislation and occupational health regulations.
  • Ability to design and implement selection, training, and induction processes.
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to mediate conflicts and foster a good working environment, highly organized, initiative and adaptability in dynamic environments, empathy, hands-on leadership and results-oriented, detail-oriented, organized, with exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
